Democrats could be in for serious trouble in next year’s crucial midterm elections as crime spirals out of control with violence now commonplace on the streets of American cities.
The unfortunate death of George Floyd and subsequent riots were a major boost to far-left activists including Democrat members of Congress who seek to defund and dismantle local police forces at the same time that they are furiously working to undermine the 2nd Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans.
With the Democrat politicians who control the budgets of major cities slashing funding for law enforcement while cops have targets put on their backs by celebrities, social media influencers, and the mainstream media, conditions have rapidly deteriorated but the demands for breaking up the police are already boomeranging on that party.
Two new polls underscore the peril that Democrats will face in 2022 and beyond when voter backlash against their soft on crime policies will manifest itself at the ballot box, an increasingly likely prospect that could shatter the dreams of a permanent one-party government.
According to the results of a Hill-HarrisX poll, 44 percent of registered voters surveyed want more police in their neighborhoods with another 50 percent being satisfied with the current amount of police.

That is a whopping 93 percent who don’t want to defund the police, a flashing red alert that in their pursuit of short term gain by exploiting the George Floyd race riots to capitalize on raw emotions in order to boost voter turnout with key demographics, the party badly miscalculated the impact on future elections when voters who fear being victimized by the criminals that Democrats have empowered strike back.
The effects of the ballot box blowback are already being seen with the win by former cop Eric Adams in the New York City mayoral primary in which he trounced candidates backed by current Mayor Bill de Blasio and socialist Twitter diva Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, both of who based their campaigns on defunding the police.
But another poll is even worse news for Democrats who could soon be entering panic mode if they aren’t there already.
A just-released Gallup poll shows that black Americans’ confidence in the police has rebounded since last summer with 27 percent now expressing faith in law enforcement.

According to Gallup; “After dipping to a new low last year following the George Floyd killing, Black Americans’ confidence in the police has mostly recovered but remains low. Currently, 27% of Black adults in the U.S. say they have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the police, up from 18% in 2020 but similar to the levels seen between 2014 and 2019.”
While the 27 percent is still very low and a testament to the effectiveness of media propaganda, conspiracy-mongering, and the lies peddled by the likes of NBA superstar LeBron James and the perpetually bitter heel Colin Kaepernick that the police are hunting black people for sport, the number is trending in the right direction and could continue to do so with black neighborhoods being most adversely affected by crime.
Democrats could soon rue the day that they hitched the party’s political fortunes to the anti-police radicals, perhaps as soon as next November.
