The husband of a social media influencer said he has received death threats since her body was discovered.

On Wednesday, Tom Sharkey spoke out about his 26-year old wife and Instagram star, Alexis Sharkey. Over the weekend, a trash truck driver discovered her naked body on a Houston road.

Her husband denied reports that state they got into an argument before she disappeared. He claimed she was stressed out and wasn’t always the happy person portrayed on social media.

Meanwhile, her friends are demanding answers about her death.

“[The fact that] somebody could just throw her on the side of the road like garbage…like she was nothing,” Alexis’s friend, Devin Stiehler, said. “It astonishes me, it blows me away that such a horrible and disgusting thing could happen to such a beautiful person because nobody deserves that.”

In the meantime, her husband described their marriage as happy and said they did not have plans to divorce. He added that he is cooperating with the police.

So far, no arrests have been made.
